Winter Salmon Fishing in VancouverDeparting Granville Island, we leave the sky scrapers behind and head up to Howe Sound to fish for winter chinook salmon. This great fishing is only a short boat ride from downtown Vancouver.
It would have been a good day without any fish, but getting two big Chinook made the day even better Mike M
Had the best time fishing with this company. Very relaxed and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Definelty booking again next time I come visit. Highly recommend. Thanks for making my holiday a blast Carly
.Went for a 2-day all day charter for sockeye salmon. 3 of us. limited both days (even the captain, Jason got 4 fish the first day and 1 the second day). The sockeye were running, so limiting is fairly easy right now, but we limited much quicker than other boats, and Jason worked his butt off for us. We had a great 2 day adventure and recommend Bon Chovy for a charter without a doubt!! Leigh

Vancouver Fishing Charter Update - Mid July
3 days ago
Our July fishery in Vancouverl waters is off to a good start. There is significantly more chinook salmon around than normal for this time of year and the coho fishing has been pretty consistent. On the far side of the Strait, Gabriola Island has been excellent for the last couple of months! All in all, 2019 has been a very good year to date!
Excellent Salmon Fishing in Vancouver
Jun 4, 2019
The last couple weeks have been some of the best chinook fishing in recent memory over on the Gulf Island's. Local fishing has been productive as well with some very nice chinook salmon. Chinook salmon are currently catch and release until July 15th. Hatchery coho salmon are open for retention as are ling cod on our longer full day trips to the Gulf Island. Fishing in Vancouver is one of the best activities you can do in the summer!
Great weather and productive salmon fishing!
May 15, 2019
Over the last number of years, May has definitely proven to be one of the best times for chinook salmon fishing in the Vancouver area, this is May is no different! Despite the regulation changes, we are enjoying solid catch and release fishing for chinook (until July 15th) in all of the usual spring spots. We have been successful sending our guests home with some dungeness crabs and on some of our longer charters ling cod and spot prawns! We have seen the odd early coho salmon as well. The DFO is forecasting a strong return of coho this year, so we are hopeful that we will see excellent coho fishing like we saw last June off the South End of Bowen Island and the Gulf Island's!
Fishing has really perked up! Vancouver Fishing Charter Report
Apr 14, 2019
The South Bowen Fishery has really picked up! The last few days have seen very good fishing. Looking forward to the coming weeks!
Spring is here and the Offshore Fishery is starting!
Apr 2, 2019
We are now transitioning into a spring pattern in our local Vancouver fishery. After a productive winter fishery in Howe Sound and the inner reaches of English Bay, the offshore fishery has started. Over the last week there has been decent numbers of fish showing up out in the deep! This trend will continue and the fishing should continue to improve in coming weeks.View all
